Contact
SolarCalc is operated by Life of a Bit. The primary contact method for this site is email.
Email: contact@lifeofabit.com
That address follows the same contact pattern used on our related permit-lookup property so site operations stay centralized. Use it for corrections, privacy requests, consent-related questions, or general business inquiries.
Reasons to Contact Us
- Calculator corrections: If you spot a broken source link, bad city metadata, outdated utility rate note, or other factual error, send the page URL and what looks wrong.
- Privacy requests: If you want to ask about data handling, deletion, access, or future lead-sharing practices, email us with Privacy Request in the subject line.
- Future messaging opt-out help: If a lead handoff workflow launches and you need help identifying which party contacted you, tell us the phone number used, the approximate date, and the message or caller details.
- Partnership inquiries: Installer network, publisher, or media inquiries are welcome. Use a clear subject line so the message can be triaged quickly.
- General questions: If you have a question about how the calculator works, ask. We may not answer every email, but we do read them.
What We Cannot Do
We are not a solar installer and we cannot provide a site-specific quote, engineering advice, electrical advice, tax advice, or legal advice. We cannot tell you whether a given roof definitely qualifies for solar, whether your utility will approve interconnection, or what contract you should sign. We also cannot cancel communications sent by third parties we do not control, though we can explain the opt-out paths described in our policies when applicable.
Response Expectations
This is a small operation, not a staffed call center. We aim to review correction reports and privacy-related requests promptly, but response time varies. If your issue involves a future marketing text or call, use the direct opt-out method first — for example replying STOP to a text — rather than waiting on email.
Operational Note
For security and recordkeeping reasons, please do not send sensitive financial documents, government IDs, or full utility-account credentials by email. If a future workflow requires a more secure submission path, it will be introduced separately.
